Chapter 8: Quentin
It felt good to see my lil' brother tie the knot. I'm glad he chose Mocha as his wife. She fits in with the family perfectly. I loved seeing my wife and Royale so happy, not to mention being the best sisters they can be. I can tell Queen enjoyed every minute of rocking her wedding line. My baby was doing big shit on the boutique side. She was about to fuck all the bitches up across the nation. My baby has more than some low-budget ass boutiques. She was getting ready to make her brides' dreams come true. I'm going to support her to the fullest. Money is not an option. She can have whatever she needs to take this shit nationwide. I'm my wife's biggest fan and supporter. At first, I was dead set against her working long hours and traveling to open new stores in other states. However, now that's all I want from her. Seeing the sparkle in Queen's eyes and the smile on her face was everything to me. She's more than just my wife and the mother to my son. She's an entrepreneur, and as her husband, I need to give her my full support.
As much joy as I feel, I'm also filled with so much turmoil. I hate that I have to murk Conchita. It has always been so easy for me to kill someone. Hell, it was a breeze putting a bullet in my father's head. Never in a million years did I think Conchita would make me feel this. Knowing I have a daughter out here in this world without me hurts my soul. Conchita wants to go out of her way and speak on how close we were, but obviously, we could have never been anything. For years, she has known that we shared a life, and all the crack in the world should have ever made her keep that from me.
Pulling up to Quartermaine Enterprises, I exhaled before getting out of the car. I was here to have a much-needed conversation with Martha, not to mention the bitch, Conchita. She had better have told me the truth about my daughter's whereabouts, or today would be her last day breathing. I'm officially done fucking around with her lying ass.
Instead of going up to the main floor where my office was located, I headed straight down to the basement. Bentley had been sitting with Conchita around the clock. I told him he could leave because I was on my way. When I stepped off the freight elevator, I headed right to the storage room where she was being held at. The moment I made it to the room, the door was open. I immediately knew something was off. When I stepped inside the room, she was gone.
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" I punched the wall repeatedly before rushing back onto the elevator.
It felt like the elevator was taking forever to get me back to the first floor. I hopped off and immediately jumped into the main elevator.
